Little Egypt on Film: Part 2

Little Egypt's second Venture into Europe

For reasons far too complex and trivially political to explain here, the Morris Men of Little Egypt were able to enjoy two hugely fun trips to Germany.
These two clips, taken during the second trip in the autumn of 1996, are intended to give an impression, at least, of just how enjoyable the trips were.

We visited the towns of Aßlar-Werdorf, in Germany's Hessenland, that neighbour Haverhill's twin town of Ehringshausen. We were the guests of a local Dance Group, called the "Hoingker", who perform local folk dances of their region. Suffice to say we were overwhelmed by the hospitality we received, everywhere.

The first set of clips show Little Egypt dancing outside Cologne's Cathedral during our outward journey.

The second set comprise some extracts from a memorable evening that was held for us in the local sports club. We shall always be grateful for the entertainment and absolute pleasure we experienced.

I would, however, suggest most fervently that you don't get put off by the beginning of this clip: bear with it and you will be treated to a startling and uncompromising rendition of "Swaggering Boney" (Tune: "Travel by Steam"). It is glorious, but not for the faint hearted.
"Ohne Sicherheitsnetz", as Alex said.
