James brings more than a touch of culture to the side. He is an opera singer by profession, and dances with the same lyrical eloquence with which he sings.
It is fair to say that several self-appointed songsters among the sides we have danced with have been caught out by the traditional challenge to "Give us a song, Little Egypt" when James has delivered a stunning aria from some operatic work or other. It knocks 'em flat, I tell you, and they rarely have a response.
james has, of late, been seen more in East Sussex than West Suffolk and has widened his repertoire somewhat.
