We thoroughly enjoyed our foray nearly into Essex. After a lot of rain, the Morris Weather-Mongers had done their work, and the evening turned out fine, if a little chilly. There was a fine sunset which cast a brilliant glow over the later stages of the dance.
Although there were few spectators (the cold weather kept them indoors), we actually danced until nearly 10.15 p.m., which necessarily curtailed the singing and indoor frivolity.
For those unfamiliar with the Little Egypt dances, pictures are available here.
