Little Egypt In Touch With Tradition

7 November 2009
Part Three
A Sign of the Times

Make it count lads.
A fine sign

...and on to Tye Green and the brand new Village Sign.
You can just see Little Egypt dancing rather more vigorously than in real life - probably Upton!

Recorded for posterity

A quick break for further refreshment in the Cherry Tree where Doods

demonstrated the ancient Glemsford art of Crowbarring before moving on to Andrew's house where luncheon was served.

The men were by now famished and Andrew found he had to operate the barbeque at double time, while some men entertained themselves in the ancient art of passive gut-barging.

All too soon it was time - 2.37pm - to make our way to the final dance spot of the day, but not before we'd perfomed The Vandals of Melford and Beaux of London City on the forecourt of what was Hunts Hill Stores, now extended and refurbished as "Stars and Jars".

And that final dance spot of the day? Why, where else but the Angel Inn.
Kevin had laid on a guest ale, St Edmundsbury, which was greatly enjoyed by some of the men. Others were not too sure.
Never mind, another great day with Little Egypt - and we think we might have a new recruit, one of the village postmen!
As long as he's not on strike...

The Spirit of Little Egypt

A flattering angle
More time for reflection  I'm like this when I get angry
I'm having a jolly good time ... I think  Chocks away
Cheersh!  Smile - it's nearly over.
'Ere, do you want a sweetie?  Aniseed Balls, mate
