Little Egypt at The Black Lion on Boxing Day is nearly as traditional as Sprouts with the Turkeyburgers
2002 was indeed another vintage year.

As always, we gathered at the Squire's house to prepare ourselves for the wonders to come.
It was good to see John Aldous back in circulation.
Just before we left for the pub,as always we drank a toast to our German friends, the Hoingker.
At the Black Lion there was a large crowd to witness the dancing.
Mercifully, the weather kept fine, or at least dry, and the orchestra was able to perform its full repertoire.
As were the dancers.
We were delighted that Peter Ford was there to watch and, eventually, to take part in one special rendition of "Bluebells".
Don't ask what it says on those Superman-style underpants.
You don't want to know.
Needless to say, one or two people over-indulged, ...
